Thin mints, samoas and shortbread cookies were the main dessert at the 12th annual Take the Lead Honoring Women of Distinction Award presentation on March 11 at the Sheraton Reading, Wyomissing.The Girl Scouts of Eastern PA received over $70,000 and honored local leaders at the ceremony.

Take The Lead Event a Huge Success
The Philadelphia Take The Lead event had the highest attendance and brought in the most donations in our Council's history. We received a tremendous amount of news coverage from media outlets including 6ABC (clip), CBS3, NBC10 (clip), Philadelphia Magazine, The Philadelphia Tribune, The Philadelphia Sunday Sun, City Suburban News and Main Line Times. Girl Scout Mural Dedication Rescheduled
Mark you calendars! The date for the Girl Scout 95th Anniversary Mural, Where Girls Grow Strong, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 26th at 5:30 pm. The dedication will be held at 1422 Callowhill Street in Philadelphia where the mural is proudly displayed on the Creative Book Manufacturing Co. building owned by the Kopacz Family. Read more.

Regional Girl Scout Councils Merge to Create New Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, PA – On Saturday, April 28, 2007, 444 delegates from the Girl Scouts of Freedom Valley, Girl Scouts-Great Valley Council and Girl Scouts of Southeastern Pennsylvania voted to approve the historic merger of the three councils into one new, high-capacity council, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.
