Changing a Life…It’s Forever
Whether you are a young adult looking to be a role model or an adult willing to give a few hours per week to facilitate a program designed to help girls grow, you are in the right place… we need you! There are two ways for adults to volunteer with the GSEP:

As an Adult Volunteer
This allows you to share your passion with an organization commited to the development of girls. We'll match your skills, talents and interests to service-oriented volunteer opportunities. You may even be called upon to help develop programs for girls.

As a Troop Leader
Troop Leaders volunteer to lead a troop or group of girls within a specific age level. There are currently about 4500 troops/groups located in within our nine county Council. GSEP provides a basic orientation, as well as age-level training. Troop Leaders are also connected with a network of veteran volunteer leaders who will help answer their questions and provide ongoing support.

A volunteer application/background clearance is required for all leaders and co-leaders, product sale and cookie managers, and any adult that attends overnight events with your troop. Read the letter from the Council and the Frequently Asked Questions to help you understand why these forms are required.

After this process is complete, you will meet with a representative of your area Service Unit.
Adult Education opportunities are available to help you serve in your leadership role. You may complete adult training while you volunteer application and clearance is in process, however you may not meet with girls until the application/clearance is approved.
