Are you interested in learning a sport, sampling the arts, preparing for a career, or pitching a tent? Do you dream of publishing stories online, traveling to exotic locales, or speaking on behalf of girls in your town? In Girl Scouting, you can do it all! Girls ages 5-17 can join as girl members. It's never too late to join in the fun.
A girl can be a Girl Scout in many different ways. She can:
- Join a troop/group with a group of girls and a couple of adults in your area. If you would like information regarding troop placement for your daughter or a girl within your community, please contact us at girlplacement@gsep.org or fill out this form and fax or email it back.
- Register individually and get regular updates by mail on council-wide events and opportunities. If you have questions about how to participate in one of our Programs as an individual girl, go to the Programs and Events page and download the Program Guide to see a list of individual girl options (page 8). If you find something that interests you, please contact Kim Woroniak at kworoniak@gsep.org or at 610.791.2411, ext. 1508.
- Sign up for Girl Scout Camp. Our Camps are seasonal. Check out our Camps page.
Senior Girl Scouts
If you're between the age of 14 and 17, you can be part of great adventures including camping, leading younger girls, traveling and serving your community. And your participation in the Girl Scouts will look great on your resume. Colleges and future employers will hold that “Girl Scout” credential in high regard. Girl Scouts will help you develop the discipline and self-knowledge to accomplish your goals and dreams.
Cadette Girl Scouts
If you are between 11 to 14 years old, your activities can cover anything from camping to drama to caring for animals. You will build courage and character and have fun in the process! And you'll make friends that can last a lifetime.
Junior Girl Scouts
If you're between 8 and 11 years old, you can be a Junior Girl Scout! Maybe you've never helped a teacher or parent make a decision before, but as a Junior Girl Scout you will help your leader decide what activities you want to do that year. It could be anything from cooking outdoors to producing a video with the other girls in your troop/group.
Brownie Girl Scouts
Brownie Girl Scouts just want to have fun! And the Girl Scouts provides lots of fun opportunities, all the while teaching girls ages 6 to 8 skills to gain confidence and self-esteem! At this young age level, girls receive praise and recognition for trying new things and exploring their world.
Daisy Girl Scouts
Keeping 5 and 6 year olds interested in an activity is challenging. Half the battle is finding something that is fun for them. Wouldn't it be great if that activity also taught them a skill? Daisy Girl Scouts does just that. The Daisy Girl Scout program is filled with age-specific hands-on experiences that allow girls to explore talents and interests while learning how to be a member of a group.
