2008 Take the Lead Honoring Women of Distinction
Role Models - Women of Courage, Confidence, and Character who make the world a better place.

We are looking for Girl Scouts to participate in Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania's premier fundraising events for 2008. Amongst the legacy councils, there are three corporate fundraisers conducted annually at which awards are given to distinguished women in a profession or field of achievement. A unique feature of these events is that the program is conducted entirely by Girl Scouts who act as event emcees, present the awards, and provide entertainment.

This year we will continue to hold three separate events, newly named Take the Lead Honoring Women of Distinction. The dates and locations for these events are as follows:

Monday, March 3rd The Four Seasons Hotel, Philadelphia (Philadelphia Event)
Tuesday, March 11th The Sheraton Hotel, Reading (Berks County Event)
Wednesday, April 30th The Holiday Inn, Fogelsville (Lehigh Valley Event)

We are looking for girls who enjoy performing and relating to an audience. The following roles are available for application:

Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts:
Emcees: Host the event presentation.
Presenters: Interview Honoree, present award at event
Ambassadors: Hand out Programs, mingle with guests

Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts:
Chorus: Perform song and dance routine

Sorry, no Daisy Girl Scouts!

To apply: please fill complete the application on our home page. Be sure to select which event you are applying for and what role you would prefer. Don't forget to click `submit' to send your application. The deadline to apply is Thursday, November 15th.

We will follow up with you in late November with detailed instructions regarding your audition. Dates for auditions are currently scheduled for:
